Delete your Unspoken account
Two ways to do it. The first takes about ten seconds and does not involve us at all.
If you still have the app installed
Delete the account yourself, immediately, without waiting for anyone:
- Open Unspoken and go to Profile → Account.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. You may be asked for your password again — that is deliberate, so that somebody holding your unlocked phone cannot do this to you.
It happens straight away. Nothing is queued and nothing waits for review.
If you no longer have the app
Email info.wlftech@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Unspoken account", from the email address the account was created with.
Sending it from that address is how we know the request is yours. If you write from any other address we will ask you to confirm from the account's address before doing anything, because the alternative is a page that lets strangers delete each other's accounts.
We will complete the deletion and reply to confirm within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. You do not need to give a reason and we will not ask for one.
What gets deleted
Everything we hold, which is less than most people expect:
- Your sign-in account — email address, password, and any linked Google sign-in.
- Your profile — name, country, phone number, bio, and the "how should Arabic address you" setting.
- Your profile picture file.
- Your subscription record and your conversation counter.
- Everything on the phone you delete from: your check-ins, plan, habits, chat history and app-lock PIN. These were only ever stored on your device, so there was no server copy to delete.
This cannot be undone. There is no grace period, no archive and no way for us to restore an account afterwards, because we do not keep a copy to restore it from.
What is not erased, and why
Three things survive, none of which is content you wrote:
- Your Google Play purchase history. Google keeps records of purchases and refunds under its own policy and for its own tax obligations. We cannot delete Google's records. Deleting your Unspoken account does not cancel an active subscription — see below.
- A transaction record at our subscription provider, RevenueCat, tied to the random account identifier rather than to your name or email. It exists so a refund or chargeback can still be reconciled. It contains nothing you wrote.
- Any Android backup already in your own Google Drive. If Android's Auto Backup has copied the app's local data to your Drive, that copy is in your Google account, not ours, and only you can remove it — usually under Google One → Storage → Backups or your phone's backup settings.
Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your Unspoken account does not cancel a Play subscription, and Google will keep billing you. Cancel it in the Play Store under Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, then delete the account.
If you only want to take your data with you
You do not have to delete anything to get a copy. In the app, Settings → Export my data copies your whole history — all of it, as far back as it goes — in a portable format. It is free and it is not limited to subscribers.
